Features & WhatsApp Commands

Features & Help

This page describes what Archery Assist can do today and how archers and coaches can talk to the system using WhatsApp.

1) Join & Get Approved

Onboard to Your Club

Users must join an organization, share their name, and pick a role before anything else. Approval is required by an org admin/coach.

  • JOIN YourOrgCode — Submit the club’s join code.
  • my name is Keshav Kumar — Set full name.
  • role archer or role coach — Pick your role.

After both name and role are provided, the membership stays pending until an org admin or system owner approves it.

2) Log Training in Plain English

Arrow Volume

Approved archers can log arrows conversationally. Examples:

  • I shot 120 arrows today
  • 80 arrows yesterday at 70m
  • 30 arrows 2 days ago at 60m
  • 201 on 15/11/2025 at 70 meters

Distances like Blank Bail are supported (send “blank bail” instead of a number).

3) Check Your Own Volume

Archer Self-Queries

Active archers can ask for their own totals:

  • my volume today
  • my volume this week
  • how many arrows did I shoot between 10/11/2025 and 20/11/2025?
  • my volume this week at 60m — Filter by distance.

4) Coach / Admin Reports

Per-Archer Volume

Approved coaches and org admins can query athletes they manage:

  • report volume for John Doe today
  • report volume for John Doe this week at 60m
  • report volume for John Doe between 10/11/2025 and 20/11/2025

System owners can approve anywhere; coaches can only approve archers.

Roster & Messaging

Basic roster and communication tools within an organization:

  • report users or list users — Show active users.
  • message John Doe: Please warm up. — Direct message from coach/admin.
  • broadcast: Team meeting at 6pm — Org admin/system owner only.

5) Scores & Competitions

Practice Scores

Active archers can log practice scores with distance and round type:

  • score 18m half 275
  • score 70m 615

Competition Scores

Capture competitive rounds with event names:

  • competition score 60m 602 at State Trials
  • comp score 70m 645
